Representative Local Projects Cattle Crossing Bridge Over Lake Tulloch for Sanguinetti Co. Bridge over north end of Lake Tulloch, Calaveras County, California, with a 50' span prestressed concrete bridge over Black Creek... three months from design to completion of construction in 1991. The use of precast concrete single T bridge girders made construction relatively easy in a remote inaccessible area. In addition to the design of the bridge for full highway truck loading to AASHTO/Caltrans standards, and a hydrology study of the site to determine the proper elevation of the bridge to accommodate the 25 square mile drainage area served, we also provided surveying and construction management services for this owner built project. Completed Bridge St. Patrick's Church Renovation
In 1989, in Sonora, California, D.A. Sheppard developed the methodology to seal deteriorating limestone mortar used in brick and stone construction when the church was built in the 1850's. The use of the white cement, integral limestone color, local concrete sand and acrylic cement fortifier enabled us to match exactly the color of the original limestone mortar and yet form a watertight seal with the new material. Approximately, 2 inches of material was replaced around around the stone and 3/4 of an inch of material was used around the brick.

St. Patrick's Church Parish Hall
In 1993, D.A. Sheppard performed design and made drawings pro bono for this award-winning project. A cost saving use of prestressed concrete double T's available from a bankrupt project enabled us to clear span 62 feet to form the deck of the parish hall and enabled flexibility in layout of the rooms below. 7500 square feet of double T deck members were erected in four hours.

Completed Building
City of Sonora, California Fire Station
Built in 1996, D.A. Sheppard performed design and made drawings for this masonry and structural steel building. An unusual feature was the design of a partial open truss assembly consisting of three component parts assembled at the job site. This was necessitated because of the narrow city streets that prevented transportation of the full size truss units to the job site.
